The Vatican yo! or (a long hallway, nora with the globe, and me drinking a beer at the pope's house)

This place... This place... My father will cry. I almost did.. things are so intracate and painstakingly detailed it blows your mind... for rooms and rooms and rooms, on and on... They won't let you take pictues of the Sistine chapel.. I felt myself tearing up..

Roman eyesore...

Jim and Nora in front of the local eyesore. It blocks the view of most of the city. We really need to ask a third party to take our picture!

So many cats!

These ruins are in the middle of the city. There are approximately 600 cats that live here...the city takes care of them...feeds them...gives them shots...etc. It is awesome!

The truth

So far we have been getting arround pretty well due to my gift of direction and poise... unfourtuanely, I think this may be how Nora sees me.....

So sad

Nora has found someone else. and is leaving me for him... I am trying to be happy for them...

its crazy! They reused some of artifacts when they took over the spot! goes down deep into the earth, where there is a underground spring..
(they wouldn't let us take pictures underground)

We took the bus to get there and were really unimpressed by them.. just some steps, but the view!!!!

How considerate

They are working on this monument (scafolding and the like) but were nice enough to put up a canvas with an image of the monument on the outside. The people here!
that isn't sarcasm, for the most part even though we don't speak Italian, people have been so kind and helpful to us. We do make a pitiful effort, which I know goes a long way with some people. but none-the-less, our new pipe dream is to live here.
